I love starting with nothing then finding something real inside an idea, and bringing it to life on screen.
I’m a director, writer and creative director. Whether it’s comedy, documentary, performance or narrative, I’m always looking for that point where something truthful, salient and real breaks through. I came up through editing, post, and VFX, so I don’t just think in images. I think about how moments are built, shaped, and ultimately felt.
I studied theatre at the University of Toronto, so performance has always been the point of departure. I’m interested in what people reveal intentionally or not and how those moments can be shaped into cinematic expression. I think about rhythm, structure, and tempo as much as image, performance and how a moment plays, how it cuts, how it lands.
My work lives in that space between control and unpredictability. I try to set up a framework that fosters creativity, and freedom of expression. Free flowing, but focused. That’s usually how the best moments emerge. My job is to recognize them when they happen, and then shape them into a cinematic narrative.
I don’t just shoot for the day, I stay with the work through editing, post, VFX, AI and finish. I make sure the idea has a through line from concept to completion.
